Picking up Leaves - 18/10/2015

The arrival of Autumn signals the start of the neverending task of clearing the garden of fallen leaves.

Keeping on top of this ensures that any leaves that have fallen into the pond are removed quickly to avoid them decomposing and turning the water stagnant.

With a huge tree hanging over the garden
there is always plenty to pick up each day!

My cat seems to enjoy
watching me hard at work.

A Day in the Garden - 16/4/2015

We spent today in the garden having a tidy up.

Our cat isn't feeling too well at the minute,
so he stayed close to home and sat in the sun.

And stood guard over the tadpoles too.

I took the decision to remove some
Yellow Flag Iris from the little wildlife pond.

It wasn't something I really wanted to do
but the plants have taken over this little pond.

It looks a little bare again now.

Cat Time - 06/4/2015

For some strange reason my cat prefers to
drink from the pond rather than from his bowl.

When it gets warmer
he'll sleep where he's sitting right now.

I hope he leaves the froglets alone!
