A few weeks after the water had
cleared in Wildlife Pond Project #1,
I put in some tadpoles I'd rescued from
a nearby pond which had almost dried up.
Here they are nearly two months later.
As you can see they
have now metamorphosed.
I'm pretty sure they're toads as I've read
that toad tadpoles are almost black in colour.
Frog tadpoles on the other hand are usually
speckled in colour and larger in size.

Climbing out onto the Starwort.
Tiny little things.
Hiding in the Starwort.
Still with tail.
Close up view.
